Five Education are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants in Blandford Forum for an immediate start. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves. Some of which have a diagnosis of Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/ or mental health challenges. They will need extra help at school, sometimes in the lesson and often at break and lunchtime.

We work with a number of alternative provision schools, mainstream schools and special schools in and around Blanford Forum, and we are actively looking for motivated candidates. Experience is not necessary, but a can-do attitude, resilience and initiative are essential.

Responsibilities and duties:
· Supporting 1:1 in class or in small groups
· Make learning fun and enjoyable
· Be a support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
· Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential

Essential Criteria:
· Be empathetic, kind and patient
· Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
· Two recent child/vulnerable adult-based references, covering the last 2 years
· A relevant DBS/Police checks
· Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes
· Able to work 8.30-3.30, consistently 2 to 5 days per week, term time only

The pay rate is £12.23 an hour. The day is 7 hours with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £80.00* but with the potential to earn more.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employers NI. We are also proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
