The Role
You will be supporting an individual child, who has an EHCP (Education, Health, Care Plan), to access the school curriculum. You will work under the guidance and support of the class teacher and SENDCo and will be expected to use your own initiative when delivering interventions.
Main Responsibilities
-1:1 support for a child with an EHCP
-Ensuring the child’s safety and welfare is maintained
-Feedback to class teacher and SENDCo
-Delivering targeted interventions with the child
Essential Criteria
-Sensitivity
-Ability to build a trusting relationship with children
-Strong listening skills
-Patience
-Ability to remain calm under pressure
Desirable Criteria
-Previous experience supporting children with SEND
-Education qualification
