Hourly rate: £12.81 minimum (including holiday pay)

Temporary, potential to be permanent

Five Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in North Bristol. As a highly rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting a student's learning journey by providing 1:1 support for a child with autism who is currently in reception. This role is part time and starts immediately and continues in the new academic year in September 2024. Previous experience in supporting individuals with SEND is not essential but preferred. The perfect candidate would be compassionate, patient and resilient.



Main Responsibilities

Assist students in accessing learning under the guidance of the class teacher

Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times

Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school

Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them to develop coping strategies and self-regulation skills

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and other staff members to address the individual needs of students

Essential Criteria

Have an interest in supporting children/young people

Right to work in the UK

Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary

Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), 12:15-15:20
