Description
Five Education is currently recruiting a SEND Teacher to work within an EYFS-style provision supporting a small group of 8 high-needs pupils in Bristol. Most pupils in this setting are non-verbal, and some require personal care, so confidence meeting physical needs is important. The class includes a mixed age range, and some children may present with physical behaviours, meaning the teacher must feel confident managing these safely and calmly.The provision benefits from a strong 1 adult to 2 pupils staffing ratio. The teacher will be responsible for directing support staff and managing the team effectively. While some planning will be required, PPA time will be provided, and the teacher will be well supported as part of the school’s wider Inclusion Hub.
Main Responsibilities:
• Teaching and supporting a small group of 8 high-needs pupils within an EYFS-style environment
• Managing and directing a team of support staff in the classroom
• Supporting pupils who are non-verbal and require personalised approaches
• Carrying out personal care duties where required
• Working safely and confidently with pupils who may present physical behaviours
• Completing planning as required, with PPA time provided
The Ideal Candidate:
• Strong SEND background
• Experience with EYFS or a Resource Base (essential)
• Comfortable with personal care and physical needs
• Confident in leading and organising adults
• Flexible, resilient and nurturing in approach
Essential requirements:
Right to work in the UK – we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.
Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.?

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
