Financial ControllerLocation – Cheadle (hybrid working)
Salary – £70,000-85,000
About the company:
A well-established business, with an office in Cheadle, and a fantastic finance team. You will be number 1 in finance for the UK, with a local line of reporting, but also report to and have the support of an overseas Finance Director.
Responsibilities include:
• Lead and manage the UK finance team, including overseeing day-to-day operations and month-end processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with UK GAAP and group standards.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting cycles, supporting strategic planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
• Partner with non-finance - including operational teams - to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements across finance operations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the integration of processes with teams and systems.
Skills/Qualifications required:
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Ideally 5+ years post qualified experience
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong technical & financial reporting skills
• Strong analytical, finance to non-finance, and stakeholder engagement skills
