Financial Controller

Location – Knowsley
Salary – £based on experience

About the company:
A well-established and growing manufacturing SME with a new opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the business in a broad, hands-on role, with a clear growth path to becoming FD in circa 2 years.

Responsibilities include:
• Number 1 in finance, managing a Finance Manager, who manages a small transactional team.
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack and KPI’s for the directors
• Day-to-day treasury management
• Preparation of forecasts & budgets and reporting monthly on variances
• Preparation of year-end accounts ready for the auditors
• Good leadership qualities and the ability build a cohesive team
• The ability to analyse existing systems, processes and controls and to advise on and implement improvements

Skills/Qualifications required:
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Good excel skills (pivots, lookups)
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work both on own initiative and as part of a team
