Group Financial ControllerLocation – South Manchester
Salary – £based on experience

Responsibilities include:
• Develop key group reporting - Support the CFO, develop and deliver the group’s Financial Statutory reporting strategies.
• Monthly group consolidated accounts which lead to consistent production of annual stat accounts.
• Business partnering for senior management team.
• Prepare annual Statutory Accounts and audit, to high quality with timely completion.
• Prepare annual budgets which demonstrate efficient growth.
• Cash reporting, forecasts bank covenants - Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting and control information held in and reported from accounting systems across the group and presentation of bank covenant metrics.
• Improve the systems and controls surrounding all aspects of the group’s accounting, budgets, forecasts and business planning, to enhance treasury management.
• Ensure effective treasury management controls are regularly reviewed.
• Monitoring group cash balances and forecasts, always maintaining adequate balances and balancing debt on a timely basis.
• Budget and forecast preparation
• Prepare financial statistics, return on investment reports and other management reports as necessary
• Project Management – Plan and support projects which explore potential problems or opportunities and manage projects to execution
• Group Tax – Plan, lead, and ensure accuracy of group taxes and efficiently minimise liability.
Skills/Qualifications required:
• Minimum of 8 years accounting experience with evidence of achievement and progression.
• A significant period of experience in audit and/or preparing statutory accounts and managing audit information provision.
• Modelling experience setting up significant new Excel templates.
• First-hand experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience of managing relationships at multiple levels, with a proven track record of working and managing conflicting priorities and challenges.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate and influence both finance and non-finance individuals to obtain buy in.
• Commercially and financially astute.
